Mat Marker™ started in March 2023 when founder Lisa Strawther—longtime yogi and creative spirit—looked around a packed gym and thought, Why do all these mats look the same? That “aha!” moment sparked the idea for Yoga Mat Charms.

Not long after, friend and fellow yoga lover Kali Jones joined the fun. Together, they have built Mat Marker™ with a shared love for self-expression, creativity, and community.
